An Important Update About Parking at Darn Knit Anyway

We’ve got some parking news…and like most things in life, it comes with a little good, a little “heads up,” and a whole lot of “we’ve got you.”

The good news: parking is still FREE for our customers! BUT you need to do a little work to get it.

The Brick Alley lot behind our building (entrance off Nelson Street) is now a paid lot, but we can validate your parking at no charge. Here’s all you need to do:

• Pull in and park as usual
• Do NOT download the app or pay at the kiosk
• Come into the shop within 15 minutes
• Give us your license plate number at the counter

That’s it! You’ll be set for up to 6 hours of free parking while you shop, knit, browse, and linger.

A few things to keep in mind:

If you get a time-expiring notification…come find us at the counter or plan to head out within 15 minutes. We can help re-validate if you’re still shopping, but please don’t let that clock run out!

If you receive a parking citation…we’re so sorry, and we wish we could make it disappear like we could before. Unfortunately, we’re no longer able to clear citations on our end. Here’s what to do: follow the appeal instructions on your citation, let them know you were shopping at Darn Knit Anyway, and the fee will likely be reduced to $15. It’s a little extra hassle, and we genuinely hate that, but the appeal process is straightforward and totally doable.

Just a reminder: This validation only applies to the Brick Alley lot. Nearby city lots are paid and can’t be validated through us.

We know parking logistics are nobody’s favorite topic (yarn is so much more fun), but we want to make sure you have everything you need to visit us stress-free. As always, if you have questions, just ask when you come in, we’re happy to help.
