It’s Jason’s 49th Birthday! I realized that I haven’t talked much about my (Aimee’s) husband Jason over the last 12 years. Maybe a mention here or there in a blog or email, but I really should tell you more about him.

There wouldn’t be a yarn store without Jason. When I came home one day and said “I think I might want to put a yarn store in that old dress shop space”. He didn’t say anything except “Well, you should probably write a business plan”.  When I came home from the bank looking for collateral and asked how much his jetski was worth, he didn’t bat an eye and showed me the title. He believed in me.

Within a few months, we put our home on the line and he became the vice president of a yarn store. HA!

He has encouraged me every step of the way.

So, on this, Jason’s 49th birthday, I thought I’d share a bit more about him.

He likes to poke at a bonfire with a beer in his hand.
He enjoys falling asleep on the couch watching golf on a Saturday afternoon.
He only has one pair of shoes he wears. He buys a new pair when they wear out.
He has worked at the same company for 25 years.
He never answers his phone or returns a text message, so don’t ever use him as an emergency contact.
He doesn’t cook.
He doesn’t care that he doesn’t cook.
He falls asleep the second his head hits the pillow.
He is not prone to worrying.
He never swears. Like never.
He likes thrill rides and roller coasters.
He has skydived and bungee jumped.
He likes talking with the kids about their homework.
He paces when he thinks.
He never gossips.
He has no patience for people who should know better.
He will help anyone with anything, but will never ask for help himself.

He is bursting with pride about this girl right here in her last week of high school.

Happiest of birthdays Jason!
