Yep, a tech tip from a 52 year old.

Now, you may be like me…when I try to do something on my phone and it takes longer than 3 seconds…my kids snatch the phone out of my hands and do it themselves. And when I say kids…I mean Emily (the Rockstar in the photo here) Ok, she doesn’t snatch the phone out of my hands, but she does give me that look. You know the look. The one that says, I can’t believe you don’t know how to do that. And then she teaches me. She was a Middle School teacher you know!

Well, this tip is a GOOD ONE!

Jason and I went to Washington DC a few months back. I was sharing photos with Emily when I returned and showed her this picture of Jason and I with the Washington Monument in the background.

She said it was Christmas Card worthy and I said no one would know where we even were because it was on portrait mode.

She said “you know you can change that back to regular mode right?”

Ummmmm… NO OF COURSE I DIDN’T KNOW THAT!

You mean like AFTER I took the picture I could change it. What witchcraft is that???

Sure enough. At the top of the photo the word PORTRAIT and an arrow. You click it, it says PORTRAIT OFF. Viola.

Would you look at that. The beautiful Washington Monument in the background of our Christmas Card worthy photo. Who knew?

I have since mastered this electronic feat showing off my tech savvy skills on a rooftop in Mpls a few weeks ago. I guess you can teach an old dog;)
