Kids Classes – Holiday Vacation Schedule

Fashion Illustration

When: Mon, December 28, 1pm – 4pm

Where: Darn Knit Anyway, Brick Alley Building, 423 S Main St, Suite 423b, Stillwater, MN 55082

Description: Love designing clothing for you and your friends? Spend an afternoon with local fashion and accessory designer Carly Stipe. You will learn about finding inspiration, creating croquis, and drawing fashion illustrations.

Supply list: three ring folder and drawing pencils.

Class fee: $26.00

Suggested ages 12 and up.

Youth Knit

When: Tue, December 29, 1pm – 3pm OR 6pm – 8pm

Where: Darn Knit Anyway, Brick Alley Building, 423 South Main Street, Suite 423B, Stillwater, MN 55082

Description: Do you have a child how is anxious to learn to knit?   Join us for an afternoon and get a good start on a warm winter scarf.

Class fee: $25.00 includes a skein of Cascade 220- Solid Color and a pair of Bryspun Single Pointed Needles size 7 or 8 that are yours to keep.

Pre-register with a friend or sibling and get 1/2 off  each registration fee.  Moms and Dads can take the class too!  Class size limited to 8.

Sew your own Pajama Bottoms!

When: Wed, December 30, 10am – 2pm

Where: Darn Knit Anyway, Brick Alley Building, 423 South Main Street, Suite 423B, Stillwater, MN 55082

Description: Make new pajama bottoms for the New Year! With your measurements you will draft your very own pattern to make super soft pajamas.   Knowledge of sewing helpful but not required.

Cost: $30 includes pizza lunch on us!

Supplies: Spool of thread, 2-3 yards of flannel fabric, your sewing machine in good working order or use one of ours.  Purchase your supplies here and you will receive a 10% student discount on all supplies purchased for the duration of the class.

Wet Felted Geodes

When: Thu, December 31, 10:30am – 12pm OR 1pm- 2:30pm

Where:Darn Knit Anyway, Brick Alley Building, 423 S Main St, Suite 423b, Stillwater, MN 55082

Description: Learn all about the process of wet felting while creating a colorful felt geode. The outside looks like a gray rock and in the inside will reveal wonderful surprises when we cut them open. Dress for wet messes.

Class fee: $16  all supplies provided for this class.

Mystery Fiber FUN!

When: Fri, January 1, 2010, 10:30am – 12:00pm OR 1pm – 2:30pm

Description: Start the New Year off with a bit of Mystery! Gather your family & friends and have some fun with fibers, you are sure to have a great time!

Class Fee: $6 a person or $20 a family all supplies provided
