January 1st 10am – Cast On
(meant to cast on at midnight…was too busy “Just Dance 2ing” on the WII)
.
Cast on was a piece of cake…increasing was easy…love this yarn…soft and easy on the fingers.
Knit for a while between sips of coffee and cinnamon rolls.
.
Doesn’t it look great so far?
.
.
Don’t look too close though, I messed up. I got too cocky…
.
Directions said to put the sleeve stitches on a holder, cast on 5, place marker, cast on 5 more, work the back stitches and then repeat the sleeve process on the other side. Weeeelllll. I only cast on 5 under both arms, totally ignored the instructions to place the marker and cast on 5 more.
.
See…
.
.
See those lonely 5 stitches? Oh well. Carly said I should just leave it. Usually I would, but I think I need to get this 12 in 12 thing off to a good start.
.
Commence ripping.
.
Check out all 12 in 12 here.
You go girl! I cast on Francis Revisited with Malabrigo Twist in Pearl Ten, brown. Yay!
Beautiful!!!!!! I love the color! Wow you are a fast knitter! I aspire to knit that fast!
I worked on this over break and have the body finished (but had to go back to work–bummer!). I also messed up on the underarm thing, but realized and was able to fix. The yarn is wonderful. Starting on sleeves!
