Knit 101 – This two session class is still running twice a week, every week!  Join us to learn how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off only $15 for 2 weeks instruction!  Come learn the basics!

Oops! The Anatomy of a Stitch – Holding on tight so you don’t drop a stitch?  Relax!  This class will review the structure of a good stitch, so you’ll know what to do when one goes wrong.  Learn how to pick up stitches, un-knit and rip out.

Cabling Basics – Don’t let cables scare you any longer!  This sample class will teach the basics of how to make cables, as well as how to read a chart and pattern for cabling.  You’re going to laugh when you realize just how easy this is!

Pattern Reading –Ready to graduate from scarves, but confused by reading patterns?  This is the class for you.  We’ll walk you through the basic elements of every pattern:  yarn requirements and gauge, sizing and all those abbreviations!

Double Knit Headband Workshop – Nancy Lindberg herself will lead this class!
Start with a provisional cast on, join the 2 layers and continue with Double Knitting.  Both sides are knit at the same time on one circular needle.  Finish by separating the layers and attach stitches with the Kitchener Stitch.

We are so excited to have Nancy in the shop on Saturday, Oct 23rd from 10 – 2.  We’ll provide the yarn and lunch!  How can you pass it up!

Kidsilk Mittens

Ready to learn the basics of mitten making?  These are simple with a twist.  Katy holds a strand of Cascade Venezia Worsted (wool and silk blen) with a strand of kidsilk haze.  You’re gonna LOVE these mittens!

The earflap hat is super soft and super warm thanks to the merino fleece worked in as you knit.  It’s co co knit’s version of thrumming…”extreme thrumming” which is invisible on the outside but thick and warm as lamb’s wool on the inside!
