I’m just going to come right out and say it.
Jennifer is leaving Darn Knit Anyway.
She has decided it’s best for her family at this time to not have the business stress of the shop.
There are no other issues, no one is mad, no one is ill, there are no hard feelings.
There will be some pains as we try to reinvent shop life without Jennifer and I’m sure she’ll have some pains reinventing her life without the shop, but this is the best thing for her and her family at this time.
She’s on Ravelry, you can find her there if you want to stay in touch. “jenknits4darnknit”.
It’s hard to run a business. Harder yet to run a business and keep a happy family at the same time.
We’ll miss her around here…
You will be missed Jenn. You have been such a help, happy warm presence and great knitting friend for me. Hope to see you in the shop occasionally. But totally get the need for balance. and family always tops the list.
take good care and make time for fun knitting always!

Jenn, Best of luck with your move away from DKA. Will miss seeing you there! It is always hard to find that balance and you have to do what’s best for you and family. Keep the needles clicking!

Sad to hear the news but totally get that you need to take care of your family. I’ll miss your support and conversations but hope that you’ll be able to pop in to check up on all of us.
Take care-
Jenn, You have gone above and beyond in your help at the shop and were a wonderful addition to the staff. You will be missed. I do however, understand the need to put family first. Priorities!
Best of luck to you and hope to see you around.
Thanks so much for all of your help.
Karen
You have been so much help to me and many others over the years. You will be missed, but I know your family will be glad to have you home more often.
Hope to see you around and keep knitting,
Beth
Sorry to hear you’re leaving the shop Jennifer. I’m not in the shop that often, but when I have come in, you’ve always been very helpful and kind to me. You definitely fit in with Aime and Carly; 3 great, happy, friendly, ladies!! Best of luck to you. I’m an empty nester now and I just have to say; Don’t miss a minute of time with your kids while they’re under your roof, time flies way too quickly!!

Jennifer will be greatly missed! I will miss your help and knowledge but life is short and ya gotta do what’s best for you and your family. Best wishes to you!!!!
Good luck Jennifer,
I certainly under working a full-time job and having a family. It is very difficult and so many people are right. The time flies by so quickly, and it is hard to believe that my baby is going to be 21 in December! Now, perhaps you will get some time to sit back, have coffee, and finish all the knitting projects you have started. Shhhhh, to we who knit …. all of our unfinished projects are only between us! Good luck and thank you for helping me with my poncho that you had to fix because I put my knitting down and pick it up again, only to find out that I picked it up incorrectly! All the girls are very helpful. I still haven’t finish the beaded cowl from you know where! And, I plan on taking the class that shows you how to fix your errors!
Jen, I am so going to miss you! You have helped me out in a pinch so many times! DKA won’t be the same without you! Totally get your reasons…kids grow up WAY too fast!
Jen,
Of course you will be missed dearly! However I hope to see you as a participant in a future knitting camp which will be wayyyyyy more fun! All the best baby!
