Is anyone watching The Crown Season 4? We are.
We noticed the sweater Diana was wearing in episode 3
and thought it looked familiar!
Our Nanny knit it for herself many years ago. Carly found the pattern online and after reading it, we realized it was fingering weight. Sheesh! We wish we could ask her about it today. We didn’t talk much about knitting with her. We just weren’t really knitters while she was alive. Sure, we knit. But we weren’t knitters. We didn’t have knitting conversations with our Nan. We sure we could now!
We sure wish she had been around long enough to really experience our yarn store. She would have loved every second of it.
She would have LOVED watching The Crown too:)
OH!!!! What a gem, a love, an inspiration, a gift, a talent…an awesome gramma!!!! I think she’s channeling thru you and Carly, as your love and joy with knitting is contagious! Not to mention how absolutely supportive you are to we novice knitters.
Geesh, knitted that beautiful sheep
sweater 😯 …amazing!!!
And yes, we’re watching the crown; will watch for it in episode 3!
I love the way you talk about your family❤️
that was lovely!
Ahhhhhh, that’s so sweet and special!! Thank you for sharing this,
That is so cool!!! I’ll watch for it in the Crown (I’m a bit behind)
What a wonder story. I’m betting your Nan is hanging about DKA all the time!
Your comments about your Nanny reminded me of the years I used to knit with my Grandma. I learned from her. After she passed away I didn’t knit for 30 years. Now I’m back at it with gusto!
Very cool! Is the pattern still available?

Beautiful! Beautiful sweater but moreover beautiful grandmother. Sounds like she was amazing in spirit as well
It is hard as we get older and realize the stories or advice we wish we had asked or heard sooner
It was like that with my family members who have passed. I’m old enough now to have all the questions
Sounds like she definitely would have loved your store and been so very proud of you
