On LYS Day and everyday, we are grateful for you. Grateful for your business of course, but also your open mindedness, your desire to learn new things, your humor, your willingness to help others, we have so many things to be grateful for.

10 things you’ll find at your LYS (Local Yarn Store)

 

1. Gratitude – When you buy at your LYS, you aren’t only supporting that store, you are supporting small makers everywhere.

2. Inspiration – Your LYS will inspire you.

3. The perfect pattern – Your LYS will help you find the perfect project. If you spend hours on Pinterest and Ravelry looking through patterns just to find the right cardigan. Your LYS can help. We’ve got tried and true favorites that we trust will be perfect for you.

4. The right yarn – Your LYS will help you find the perfect yarn for your project. If we don’t have the right yarn, we’ll tell you!

5. A yarn winder – Yep, your LYS will wind your yarn!
 
6. A Teacher – Your LYS can teach you something new.
 
7. A Helper – At your LYS you can get help, like walk-in, face to face, what the heck did I do, help. We don’t judge. Ever.
 
8. Confidence – Your LYS store will encourage you! A good LYS will anyway. We want you to succeed and will help you find an appropriate project and complete that project. We want to build your confidence!

    I love DKA. The store, the yarns, the classes but mostly the people. The community that DKA has created is priceless. Happy LYS day! What a year indeed!!!

    I love DKA and I try to make it there in person once or twice a year. I live in Oshkosh, Wisconsin but love how I feel every time I walk into the shop as I feel instantly at home and welcomed. I feel the same when I call on the phone with a question or order. Happy LYS day. I wish I could stop in and celebrate with you.
