I delivered the One Yard Wonders trunk show to Sewtropolis yesterday.  What a great store.

I have met Nikol many times, she and I started our businesses at around the same time.  She has recently moved to a new location at 48th and Chicago.  How great is this location?  Her bright blue and red facade can be seen from blocks away!

Nikol and her staff are so clever and creative.  The space is bright, warm and inviting.  I don’t really sew and even I walked out of there with a desire to sit down at a sewing machine!

The selection of fabric is great, she has tons of fat quarters and other kits packaged up for you to just grab and go.

She has a bit of yarn too.  Spud and Chloe yarns are a perfect complement to her store.  Bright colors and fun patterns.   She even has a little community knitting project that I knit a few rows on.

A great store, you MUST visit.  Plus, the neighborhood is full of indi businesses.  Check out the huge tennis racquets in the window of Twin City Tennis!  Who knew?  Opened in 1939?  WOW!  A family run business, I say if you need a racquet restrung you should head to 48th and  Chicago, visit Sewtropolis while your racquet is being fixed up.  Sounds like a great afternoon to me:)
