As I write this, 5 lovely knit 101 students are starting a fingerless mitt project in our classroom.  Not bad for just learning to cast on 90 minutes ago.

I am working on the winter class schedule.  It sure doesn’t feel much like winter right now.  55 degrees today?  Crazy.
.
We’re going to have a sweater class this session.  Cassis is the sweater of choice.  Perfect for first sweater knitters.  Don’t want to add the lace panel?  We’ll leave it off.  Don’t want it so long?  We’ll make it shorter.  You’ll love the seamless, top down construction.

We’ll of course have a few mitten classes, a sock class, a few fun technique classes and of course more of Robbin’s felting classes too.

Oh and we’re doing this awesome crochet pillow for a “crochet-a-long”!

What were people buying today?

Yarn for the Gap-tastic Cowl.  Ravelry certainly isn’t wrong today.  The number 1 most popular pattern on the site today was also the most popular in our store.  We’ve knit it out of an HPKY yarn called Venice.  It is full of sparkle and we love this aqua color!

I also got a great start on a Christmas Stocking for a new member of the Doyle Clan.   It knits up fast and FUN!  I can see why my Nan liked to knit these (at least the first 50 she knit:)
